I’m a Vincentian abstract expressionist based on Barbados. In my art, the act of creation is itself the ultimate message. Life is vibrant energy in constant motion & the raw colour play in my work expresses that as a spontaneous demonstration of creativity as despair’s antithesis. Each piece is an unrepeatable entelechial event expressing an idea or feeling brought to manifestation & given extra dimensions in which to fly free, bypassing preconceptions via symbolism.

I love to work with the line, weight, movement, the essence of the form, and the negative space.“ Al Glann’s work is in public and private collections throughout the United States, England, Canada, and Italy.

Alison's work is driven by the desire to display atmosphere and emotion of a place. Through art she expresses feelings that are often inexpressible through words. Her interest in nature and un materialistic beauty has been a constant source of passion since childhood, be it relationships between people, the struggles of life and the ever changing but constant landscape around. Fuelled by a previous career in nursing, Alison aims to combine these emotions.
